Opened in 1988, this fascinating museum exhibits the collection of the Villamayor Ballinas, a family of shoe-shop owners in the city. The thousand life-size and 15,000 miniature shoes on exhibit span several centuries, originate from different cultures and showcase a variety of styles. Porcelain, bronze and silk, are only some of the materials from which they are made; there is even a replica of a pair of boots worn by an astronaut from the Apollo II space flight.
“Museo Del Zapato” is one of the greatest museums ever. I never imagined that by going to museum I will get this excited. I live in New York and I am very interested in fashion.So, when I went on a vacation me and my friends decided to check out this museum. It was so great. I love shoes when I entered museum I felt like I was in heaven. So many shows, wow.There are thousand life –size and 15,000 miniature shoes. Also, there was Two rooms on the first floor can be seen drawings, paintings, photographs, catalogs and an extensive collection of documents relating to the history of the clothing and footwear manufacturing. I would recommend everyone to go.
