Chapultepec Castle

Description

The Castillo de Chapultepec was built between 1780 and 1790, constructed on top of an Aztec fortress with panoramic views of the city. The gardens surrounding the palace were designed by Empress Carlota during the French occupation and offer a beautiful stroll. It once served as the Colegio Militar (Military Academy) and was also the official presidential residence until 1939, when President Cárdenas converted the palace into the Museo Nacional de Historia. Restoration efforts have significantly enhanced the construction as well as the design of the interiors.

it was great juust great all the food was tradionall and tasted amazing. i would definitly go back and i would really mostl likely recommend the trip fo you to go as well

Castillo de Chapultepec was great

i loved this place because of the awe filling view it provided. it made me feel like i could have lived there simply to see the beautiful view every day.

My family took a trip there last year, and it was a very culturally enriching experience. I learned so much from going there, we can't wait to go back!

A very good experience.

Inside the woods of Chapultepec, the castle in the night glows whit golden light like a fary tale. Is magical and mystical. If you ask for the stories to the people that works there, you may lisen abaut ghosts lovers, chaneques or dwarfs in the lake and forbbiden treasures in the area of the popular zoo.

Well worth visiting!

Probably what we liked most was the view of Mexico D.F. from the castle. But the castillo itself was spectacular.

A wonderful place to visit

The Castillo de Chapultepec is not the one that appears in the photo. It is a beautiful place. I like the place where it is built, and you can learn Mexican history from the time before the Spaniards got to America to the beginning of last Century.

Interesting History

There was so much history in the museum that I had no idea had even occured! It was a truly eye-opening experience. The view of Mexico City is beautiful on a clear day. It is quite a walk up a hill, though. If you are not in decent shape for walking, I would avoid it.
