mexico's oldest park
alameda park is the oldest park in mexico, dating from spanish colonial times, it's full of history and traditions, beautiful fountains and monuments everywhere, and it's next to the city's most famous building "the fine arts palace" (palacio de bellas artes).
alameda park is also very close to many shops, hotels, bookstores, cafeterias, museums, restaurants. that's why alameda is considered "the certer of the action" by many visitors.
the place is very crowded, specially on weekends, so it's better to visit it early in the morning.
