The country branch of the Hipocampo, on the road that leads to Cuernavaca, is without a doubt the nicest of the chain. It occupies various levels in a hacienda-type building, with a few tables set aside to ensure privacy for the customer. The house specialty is grilled pork and typical Mexican dishes, although a range of international dishes are also available. The best drinks are the house "toritos," an exotic mixture of milk with exotic fruits and tequila. The favorite is the mamee apple torito. Families frequent the place, but it is the perfect venue for a romantic date.
