Great afternoon for a gringa
I stumbled upon this restaurant while traveling by myself in Mexico, and although I only went to try a Bohemia beer (the best in Mexico, in my opinion), I got the best thick, homemade chips I'd had yet in the country, as well as these pickled vegetable appetizer things (also free). I can't speak for any other food, as I didn't order any, but the atmosphere is top-notch - around a garden with mariachi bands playing - and the wait staff was superb, but mostly because I attempted to speak (admittedly terrible) Spanish with them. They were so helpful with offering words and encouragement, so I imagine if you make even an iota of an effort as an American, your experience will increase tenfold..
