Nachi-Cocom, located on the stretch of beach between Playa San Francisco and Playa Sol , is a friendly place with excellent facilities: a pool, jacuzzi, dive shop, restaurant and bar. Its close proximity to the famous Palancar Reef means there is excellent snorkeling and diving minutes away. Come early though as it tends to get crowded in the afternoon with the cruise ship crowd.
The staff were all very nice and Joseph never let us run out of refreshments (they were included!) There wasn't a buffet any more, but you could choose from a LARGE variety of choices on the menu. They even had kids food. The pool was large and the beaches were clean. There was even a reef within sight that the kids could snorkel in without fear of danger. You will be hit up for snorkling equipment and float rentals, but they weren't too persistant.
You can't beat the price you pay for paradise there. Our waiter,Manuel was soo very nice and offered to bring the drinks out to us no matter where we were. The pool temp. was just right and we thoroughly enjoyed the swim up bar that was at the end of the pool. The hot tub next to it was a great temp. too~not too hot but just right. The buffet that is included in the price was delicious~great authentic mexican food and some not soo mexican food that was yummy! Too much to list really~already have a date planned that we are heading back. See ya' soon Manuel. :-)
Our (speedy gonzalez type) taxi driver recommended Nachi-Cocom after we had asked him to take us to the Senor Frogs that was located next to the beach. It was a great recommendation, since you can rent a palm covered umbrella (papala) and get the all you can drink deal for $32 US dollars. Since each margarita or daquiri is $5 a pop the $32 was well worth it since we drank the entire six hours we were there. It does close at 5pm but we were pretty wasted by then. And the best part of this beach is that not many cruise members new about it so it wasn't crowded at all and the beautiful white sand and blue water were well worth it. If you plan on just lying under the shade, still wear sun block, I didn't and I now look like a lobster.
Located just between the more popular Playa Corona and Playa San Francisco , this beach is often overlooked, so it
tends to be quieter than the others. There are a number of private rental homes close by and some ...
