Parque Chankanaab, San Miguel de Cozumel

I visited Cozumel last summer and it was one of the most beautiful and amazing places I have ever been. We had a blast partying on the beach, playing volleyball, kayaking, catching some sun and just hanging out. It is truely a place to escape reality and just relax in a beautiful tropical paradise. I'm so excited to return that I'm already planning my next visit.

Chankanaab is a great place to spend your day! We love to go to Cozumel for snorkeling. The water is clear and the underwater creatures are colorful. The historical sites at Chankanaab are interesting the staff are friendly and the water is amazing. Float over the golden statues or get lucky and snorkel over a school of squid. We always bring our own snorkeling equipment but you can rent if for the day pretty reasonably at Chankanaab. A cab ride is only a few US dollars from anywhere in Cozumel. Well worth the trip. I highly recommend it!

The park was awesome! Many different things to do. The Dolphine experience was incredible but the cost of the CD should be lowered and they would sell more of them. Way too pricey above the initial cost of the experience. I would visit again and again!

It was a great day's adventure to hang out on the beach, and snorkel. Beautiful reefs that you could float for an hour around and never get tired of the beautiful fish. Snorkel and Fin rentals are reasonable, and beach is not too crowded. Did the Dolphin Encounter, and the dolphins were wonderful! A once in a lifetime event! However, I have read that they may be mistreated behind the scenes.

If your in Cozumel with a Cruise. Do yourself a Favor and book this excursion on your ship as early as possible as it does sell out early. (Booking yourself will be more expensive and there is no guarantee you will make it back to your ship before it sails)
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at chankanaab. though your time in the water is relatively short, the experience is worth it. the park is well kept with a wonderful beach and plenty of snorkling, or just wandering around enjoying the exibits.

Visited Chankanaab earlier this year and had an awesome time sea-trekking and snorkeling. Advice:-Do not pay the cruise ship excursion price--get off the ship, take a taxi and pay the $7.00 entrance fee to the park. While you are at the park, you can decide to scuba, swim with dolphins or sea lions, etc...and pay the price which is much lower there. We're planning on going back in a few months to swim with the dolphins and sea lions... Highly recommended...believe me, you'll love it!!!!

Had a great experience with the dolphin encounter. Park is a great place annd there is a lot to do. Great place to spend the day.
