Bargain hunters and souvenir collectors consider this popular tourist shop a real find. Inside shoppers can expect to find a variety of Mexican knick-knacks, handicrafts as well as art created by artists who live on the island. The selection is good and t he prices reasonable for most items. The only drawback is the crowds, especially when the cruise ships are in port. If you want to shop in leisure don't come on Wednesday afternoons when the cruise ship come into port. Upstairs there is an excellent snack bar if you get hungry while shopping.
We were in Cozumel for two days in October 2005 and went to Viva Mexico both days. Great music...fantastic views...fun waiters...good food & cool, wet drinks! Our first time there was in October of 2003. We'll be back next time - Viva Mexico! Rich & Sandy
Great Nachos and Marguritas. 5 Marguritas and great home cooked nachos with cheese for $15.00, plus the adjacent drug store (yes Wimp- drug store) sells one litre bottles of light rum for $4.00 US. This is located across the pier. They treat women at this restaurant like a princess.
