Pancho's Backyard, Centro

OMG-Pancho's Backyard is always the highlight of our cruise!! My husband and I have been on 34 cruises. When Cozumel is on the cruise schedule, I must go to Pancho's. They make the best pina coladas in the world! The food is great! The service is great! The staff is great! The salsa is the best! I always recommend Pancho's to anyone that goes to Cozumel.

Setting in the chairs on the beach with Large Drinks and some mex food. The rest of the cruise was even better after that stop. Love you guys, very very nice.Got a picture of our waiter hope he is stil there. He was wonderful. took very good care of us. SEE YOU SOON ! we r there our 25th. annv. going Oct. again 27th.aannv. I loved this place it was such and LOL kind of place the food was great! I cant wait to go back! I live in Louisianan so this was an great experience for me!

My sister and I go on a cruise every year and if we go to Cozumel we always eat here. Everyone is friendly and the food and music are good..

My family and I have been to Pancho's several times mostly due to its convenient location in downtown. The food is excellent and the water/ice can be trusted. The service is adequate, but slow during the cruise ship flurries. The pricing is about what should be expected for the ambiance and food. Do not go here unless you want no choices but Mexican dishes. You won't find anything else. If you have the time, there are better choices a few blocks away that are far less commercial(do not get cruise ship traffic).

We hosted our son's wedding rehearsal dinner at Ponco's Backyard March 5,2009. The experience was perfect in every way. The manager, Manuel, did a great job of organizing his staff and service was excellent and professional. The ambiance was romantic and the setting in the open air part of the restaurant was unforgettable. Our food was excellent. Manuel made sure every detail we requested was carried out. We highly recommend Poncho's, whether you are dining on your own or entertaining a group,this is the place to be in Cozumel. It was a fairy-tale evening that was totally outstanding. Thanks to Manuel and his staff for a fabulous, treasured memory.

On a recomendation we at lunch after shopping and had to come back with friends next day for dinner. Professional service, wonderful meal, great ambience. Ranks among the top during our week there. Prices are in line with top end rest. Portions were very ample for a full meal. Please dont forget the fried ice cream!

I am not happy if I go to Cozumel and can't visit Panchos, it is so good for me that for 3 years now I have bean waited on by the same waiter who remembers me everytime I get there, his name is Manolo he does everything in his power so that we have a very good time.. Keep up the good work, even tho I live in Tampa, Florida I recomend Panchos to everyone I know is going to Cozumel. Thank you very much.. Mario Portales. Tampa Florida.

Great ambiance. Service was very slow and inattentive. Food was good but portions were small and overpriced. $43 for two plates and two margaritas that were so so. Charged $2.00 for a little bowl of salsa. Not worth the money

Don't miss this place if you only have 2 hours in Cozumel. Pancho's will be the highlight of any cruise that stops there. We plan our annual birthday cruise each year to celebrate with Manuel and his crew of the finest waitstaff and musicians you could ever want. The food is impeccable with its own tropical flair, unique to Pancho's. The refreshing Margaritas Grandes can make singers and dancers out of the most timid,introverted, or boring people. Try taking your Mother-in-law and see for yourself. I can't say enough about the entertainment. With just a xylophone, or marimba the three family members colorfully perform your favorite requests of music of Mexico from the heart. There is actually magic underneath those sombreros they put on your head. From my heart, I love this place and am looking forward to my birthday in March to do it all again! For the most memorable stop of your cruise, you just have to do "The Pancho's Thing"
