Description

Due to the damage caused by Hurricane Wilma, the following description may no longer be accurate. Please consider this when making your travel plans. This quaint restaurant has over 90 years of history. It's been in the Angulo family for three generations, serving the very best in Yucatecan specialities. Denis Angulo oversees the operation but his Juanita Angulo who is the real genius. Enjoy her huevos rancheros, pollo pibil and the pork brochette. Inside the walls are covered with photos of the family alongside famous people who have eaten there (can you can find Jackie O's picture). You can also dine outdoors under an ancient mamey tree. Prices are very reasonable. His grandson runs the excellent Las Tortugas restaurant.

We loved it at Casa Denis. We had the platter with lots of different items and loved it. Great place if your in Cozumel.

The highlight of our trip to Cozumel!

We had an awesome meal and absolutely loved our waiter Martin. The margaritas were excellent. Does anyone know what kind of tequila they serve? I would love to pick some up in the states.

We informed our waiter that we were a bit pressed for time because our rent a car had to be back and they were able to put together a great 3 course meal for four people in time for about $50.00 U.S. The cochinita pibil is excellent.

Loved Casa Denis!

The food was amazing! Wait staff were very attentive to needs. Free shots of tequila! How can you go wrong? The Mayan pork was delicious, fajitas were to die for, and they even had conch made any way you want. We ate at Casa Denis our last 3 nights in Cozumel. You eat on the sidewalk, people watch, and get free entertainment. Can't wait to come back!

Authentic Mexican and Mayan

I've made 8 trips to Cozumel over the past 10 years and every trip includes at least one visit to Casa Dennis. They have a wonderful location right off the main square, great food, and great service. Try the Mayan Pork, it's one of my favorites. Also good is the Pork Pebil and the fish in Mayan Spinach sauce.

Agreed, It's Not Cozumel Without Casa Denis

This is a fun place located on the town square. The food is good and people watching is excellent. We've been 2 or 3 times and now make it a ritual to dine there when we dive in Coz.

Best place for authentic mexican food and friendly service

Cozumel isn't Cozumel without visiting Casa Denis. We always make sure we find the time to come back and visit Baltasar and the rest of the friendly staff here. Look for our photo he hung up by the tables! Special treat is when Felipi comes by to play his guitar. Food is great! Try the sampler and don't forget a Casa Denis special Margarita!
