Cabo Del Sol Golf Course, Cabo San Lucas

My father and I played there and I left with a couple of impressions. One, this place is like playing golf in heaven! The scenery is second to none and the condition of the course was immaculate. First class rental equipment, nice golf carts, pleasant employees and a challenging but not over-whelming course layout. One errant drive on a gorgeous par 3 had me chipping back up to the green from the beach, where the mist from the breaking waves was quite refreshing on a hot day! Down side is that we dropped almost $600.00 for greens fees, a cart and rental clubs for our 18 hole round, but they did throw in a dry deli-style sandwhich and a bag of chips........

My friends and I had planned this trip for months and were very excited to play golf on the Ocean course. We paid top Dollar to play on this course but no one at the club house bothered to tell us that the greens and fairways were in terrible shape (Worse than public courses that charge $35 for a round of golf). They should not charge that much for a course in that condition. Don’t waste your money on this course. We were told that there are much better courses in CABO for better price. My friends and I decided to play the Desert course since one of the workers there told us that it is in much better shape. We made the tee times for the next day, but decided that we are not going to pay any more money to these guys. Upon calling to cancel, we were told that they have a 72 hour cancellation policy and they have to charge us if we don’t play. First, no one told us that when we made the tee times, second, how can you have a 72 hour cancellation fee if you made the tee time 24-48 hours before. This company is just out there to get your money, nothing but thieves. We are going back to CABO, but we will never play there again.

Beautiful course with great views but unfortunately the staff is so bad that the scenery can’t make up for them. We paid $1,100 for our foursome and then played a timely four hour round. Despite this and the fact that there was not one group in sight behind us, the marshals bothered us, tried to rush us, and even told us to skip a hole. In my 25 years of playing golf, it was the most bizarre marshaling experience I’ve ever encountered. It’s as if they have no idea what they are doing. Since there are so many other scenic and excellent courses in Baja, don’t waste your time or money playing Cabo del Sol unless you like dropping $275 per player and being rushed and harassed.

I absolutely love the Ocean Course at Cabo Del Sol. Yes, it's expensive, but it's so worth it. The layout is outstanding and the tees make it challenging for any level. I just played it yesterday and, even with the temps in the high 90s lately, it was in excellent shape. And, the tacos at the turn are killer.

It is absolutely beautiful - the Sea of Cortez lapping up against the greens and you can't believe this is a golf course. I can't wait until I can go back. It is expensive but trust me, well worth the $$$$.
