Princesa Cruises (La)
This company claims to have the largest sailing catamaran-style boat in Cabo. Offering snorkeling tours twice daily all year-round, you may enjoy the tropical fish found at the nearby Santa Maria Beach . Equipment, lunch and drinks are included in the package. This company also offers whale-watching tours that depart twice daily (January-March only), and bring visitors close to the gray whales that migrate to the Baja annually for calving. Its year-round sunset cruises depart each night two hours before sunset, and offer a beautiful view of the sunset.
The Sunset Cruise on the Spin Doctor in Cabo was the highlight of our trip...A beautiful night, amazing sunset, majestic views, whales and many, many Mai-Tai's. The crew was excellent - hard working, attentive, and fun. This cruise and the hot Mexican sun will be in my dreams for a long time. Thanks for the Mexican birthday cake and the dance.
We were out on the snorkeling trip but the actual snorkeling did not happen. We were never asked what size flippers that we needed or even if we were going. A whole row of people on our side did not appear to have equipment either so we assumed that they were short of equipment & there would be a second group that would be going.(There were a large number of people on board)
All of a sudden we were leaving & after talking myself into going( I am not a swimmer nor am I adventurous in water) I was very disappointed that we would not be going, to say the least. We let them know our unhappiness, but they did not seem to care. I would never go with this particular group again. We are going back in December. If it happened again I would be more aggressive when equipment if first being passed out, but it was too late.

My family and I visited Cabo San Lucas a week ago. we went on a sunset tour with La Princesa Catamarans. What a wonderful expirenece! The atmosphere was very perfect, the crew was amazing, they took great care of us and made our tour the highlight of our trip to Cabo. We all look forward to making La Princesa a tradition every time we in Cabo
We signed up for the La Princesa 'Sigame' Catamaran to go snorkeling. ** Go through your hotel with goldcard Villa Pal Mar and get a discount.
Six of us went and had a blast! Saw colorful fish and even saw whales.
Very important the crew on the Sigame was super terrific! They worked their tails off for us; brought us drinks, took lots of pictures of us and kept us entertained throughout the trip.
We definitely recommend this catamaran crew to everyone.
Something to think about, these guys need to get tipped, so be sure to bring $20 or so for a tip. Our experience on the Sigame was the best!
Thank you lady and gentlemen!
i'm a fairly seasoned snorkeler and the crew of la princesa is the most FANTASTIC i've come across. super attentive, extra friendly and MORE than willing to have a good time with their passengers. from the moment we set foot on the boat, our captain elvis made sure we had a great time. as soon as my friend and i sat down, a crew member quickly appeared to offer us cold spring water. elvis and the crew riled us up from the get-go leading us in cheers and turning up the 80's hair metal. we cruised by the famous arch for a few photo ops and got a peek at the sea lions. after the arch, the booze started flowing. never once was my glass empty (for better or for worse--depends on who you ask, i suppose). after wards, the crew asked for our shoe size and passed out all the equipment we would need. this is the first time i've been handed equipment and it was very pleasant to not have to fight with the crowd to get flippers. we then sailed to a small cove to check out some snorkel action. the coral was not as vibrant as i've seen, but there were fish and sea urchins aplenty. the snorkeling lasted about an hour and once everyone was back on the boat, it was time for lunch and of course, more drinks! lunch consisted of DELICIOUS guacamole, fresh salsa cruda, tortilla chips and tuna fish sandwiches on wheat bread. we sailed for about an hour and after a few drinks, people started to socialize and my friend and i wound up dancing with a few of our fellow passengers up by the front of the boat. there really is nothing like sitting in the front of a catamaran while the cabo sun beats down on you, enjoying a tequila and a carona, listening to party music and making new friends.
i guess, i would have to say, if you're looking for a more relaxing and less booze-cruise experience, this tour may not be the one for you. if you ARE looking for loud music and some drunk adults, this is DEFINITELY the tour for you!
The crew was very attentive, never let your drink stay empty without asking if you needed another. We went with another family and had 4 kids ages 4-7 who were all FREE. Other catamaran tours only offered kids under 5 for free, which is why we chose this one. We were very happy with the trip. It was one of the highlights of our vacation. There was a guy snorkeling with a handful of bread he was feeding to the fish. There were hundreds of fish around him which was really cool. So, I would recommend bringing some bread to feed to the fishes. The lunch was so so. The tunafish sandwiches left a little to be desired, but the guac was excellent. Overall, I give La Princessa an A.
My wife and I just got back from a cruise that stopped in Cabo a few days ago. While in Cabo, we took the Santa Maria Cove snorkeling excursion and had a wonderful time. On the way to Santa Maria Cove, we passed several Humpback Whales that looked like the one in the Pacific Life commercial. This was the highlight of our cruise. The crew was great. They even hosed us down with fresh water to get the salt water off after the snorkel.
Went on a snorkeling excursion off a Carnival cruise in late March. My friend and I knew we were on the right boat when they started blasting 80s pop hair metal on the way out of port. Who doesn't love a good Bon Jovi song while sipping a Corona in Mexico at 10am!? The crew was very attentive and also good looking, which doesn't hurt! Elvis, the red headed irish mexican captain, was so entertaining and a total sweetheart. We didn't have to move a muscle for ANYTHING, they just kept coming around with drinks and all of our equipment which was so relaxing. Stopped for a great view of the arch on the way there. Saw tons of beautiful fish and awesome rock formations under the water. They were very awesome about taking care of us all getting back on the boat after snorkeling, collecting the equipment and hosing off the salt water. On the way back, we sat on the netting up front and had a dance party with all of our new friends with more beer and tequila shots, they were VERY generous with the alcohol. Totally worth the money! Elvis reminded me to re-apply my sunscreen! Also ate some delicious fresh salsa and guacamole with chips and actually the most delicious tuna sandwich on whole wheat bread I've ever had. I want to go back right now! Make sure you bring money for the tip (they deserve it!) and also the beautiful picture the photographer will take of you in front of the arch. Thank you Elvis and crew!
You join the boat and off you go to a sheltered bay for snorkeling. The fish there are most colorful. They supply the snorkeling gear. Then you have a sailing cruise and lunch with an open bar. They cruise around lands end into the Pacific. Great views and strong drinks.
I live in Cabo and have recommened the snorkeling and sunset cruises wiht La Princesa fro many years and have never had any complaints on complements. I realize that at times things do not go as planned with any of the activites companies but these guys seem to satisfy most of the people almost all the time which is not easy to do always.
The company also welcome all complaints as I know them well and they can only fix something if they know it isn't working.
I just recomened the snorkeling trip to a couple and they kept thanking me even though it is not my company and they said they would glad to send in a review as soon as they could. hopefully they will do so.
I ocan only tell you that I have sent them many clients in the years past and have been all their boats as well as others in Cabo and I still will continue to recommend this company.
Hope you give them a try when you come to visit Cabo
