Sun Rider, Cabo San Lucas

there is a lot of hype about it but if you really want a good time go on a ship called the caborey! they have a wonderful dinner cruise that offers a show with a singer and dancers and the food is delicious! they also offer a margarita cruise and snorkeling and whale watching[in season] it is the biggest entertainment ship in cabo and there is alot of imitation but this one is by far the best! we have gone on about 5 different ones! i reccomend if you go to cabo that you go on the caborey it really makes the vacation alot better. prices are really good. their office is in the tesoro hotel in downtown by the marina. all the locals know how to get there. but you can ask your hotel conceirge and possibly get a ticket from them.

The boat is nice; my 7 year old had a great time (although some of the material during the dance portion at the end was not totally appropriate for her). The views are great. The food was OK--the brochure we got at the hotel makes it looks like they offer a Mexican buffet, plus grilled hotdogs and hamburgers. So we thought our 7 year old would have something to eat--but it's either/or. I think the snorkel cruise has the burgers and dogs and the sunset cruise only has the (skimpy) Mexican buffet. And the drinks--meh. The margaritas were indeed premade and they tasted like Kool-Aid. I can't imagine how many you'd have to drink to get a buzz at the "open bar". On the other hand, the guy who emcees the thing is really fun, with a great personality. So we had fun, but don't expect anything other than some adequate Mexican food and some very weak drinks.

Great food and drinks, crew very amicable and excellent service. The menu includes enoughf variaty for vegetarians also. Drinks are made on the boat and not from a pitcher already mixed. Snorkel equipment in very good condition.

The Sun Rider sunset cruise was a lot of fun. Great music. We were all dancing on the front of the boat. The drinks were very good quality drinks. The food was delicious. The scenery was breathtaking, especially seeing the arch where the Sea of Cortez meets the Atlantic Ocean.
