Nick-San, Cabo San Lucas

nick-san's has the the quality of nobu without the scene. simply some of the best sushi anywhere. make sure to order the hamachi with jalapeno. looking forward to seeing nick san in the states at some point.

everything was great, still thinking about it. the sushi was delicious and can't wait to go back. went several times on trip. was very fresh.

I agree with all these good reviews, but wanted to add a suggestion. It's true that the fish is very fresh and very good. But what makes this place special is the carefully crafted specialties. I recommend ordering only the specialties. Don't waste any stomach space on the typical maguro on rice with soy and wasabi. The flavor combinations are unusual and even unlikely; but still manage to land on their feet.

Nick-San is the best sushi spot! Do Not let this chance pass you by if visiting Cabo. I have been going to Cabo every year for over 12 years and have never missed a visit to Nick-San. The fish is the freshest I have ever tasted (at least 1x wk at home)it melts in your mouth. The atmosphere is fun and if its busy with a wait, there is a bar for drinks. Even if you just stop in for one piece of sushi just to say you tried it; do not miss this stop! Do not try any other sushi place in Cabo; this is the best! Arizona Sushi Fan

We went to Cabo for the first time in October and finally went to Nick San on the second to last night of our visit. The sushi is the freshest and best we have ever had, and we have eaten a lot of sushi. Chefs are talented, friendly, and willing to explain anything about any dish. We liked it so much we went again on our last night. Can't wait to go back again!

Eight of us ate there on December 23, 2011. The atmosphere is nice, maybe a bit noisy for the soft spoken waiters that barely speak English. We had with us friends that have been all over the world many times. Our table had numerous types of sushi, the teriyaki chicken, and a medallion steak plate. The consensus was that the food was good. Some even said their dish was unique. It was on the higher end of pricing in Cabo, but the thing that got the whole table upset was when we received the bill. There was a $540 peso charge for water. The waiters had offered a glass of water when we sat down. Each of us said yes, but there was no mention that this was a premium charged water. It just seemed ridiculous to pay over $40US for water when we weren't even informed that there was a cost. After a few minutes of discussion, the manager did remove the charge though it was not with a smile or any kindness. She looked at us as though we were stupid to think that a glass of water was free. We all agreed that would be our first and last visit to NickSan. The food just wasn't good enough to demand another visit.

Fantastic, best sushi in the western world, the Lobster calamari is amazing. Cannot do Cabo without NickSan

The best sushi in the world......and we have had alot of sushi!

We had Good Sushi, but it's very expensive. They served cheap wine at $9 a glass. If you really need a sushi fix while in Cabo I'd say this is a good place to go.
