The Shrimp House, Cabo San Lucas

My boyfriend and I were roaming the streets to look for something to eat. All the restaurants were dead slow and then we came upon this place and it was packed! The owner came to the front and greeted us as we were asking the people eating by the door if it was good food.Bottom line... WE LOVED IT!! Nothing bad to say about this place. The lobster and shrimp were sooo FRESH. The staff was amazing (especially the owner). My boyfriend and i wil be returning back this week and i cant wait to eat at Maro's once again.

Great local place with a very friendly owner. Looks like a whole in the wall, but the food is excellent! Cant wait to go back!!

My husband and I had a three week vacation at Playa Grande this summer and had dinner at Maro's Shrimp House FOUR times. Large marinated butterfly shrimp with two lobster tails for $17! UNBELIEVABLY delicious! We also had steak, Maro's wife's amazing chocolate cake with a hint of nuts and the brown salsa with regular salsa was to die for! We referred scores of people here because Maro and the waiters are like family away from home. Even the dinner napkins have the most fresh and clean aroma. You can go to more expensive dock restarants in Cabo and get the same quality food, but you won't get the value, family friendliness, professional service, a chef that is awesome, and Maro, who is just a great human being. I hope by 2010 that Maro and his staff will be prosperous because they offer the best in Cabo!

Happened upon Maros while walking around after dinner at the Shrimp Factory and what a find it was!!!! The place is a hole in the wall but it is one of the friendiest places if ever had the pleasure to eat. The staff is great, Maro himself is a trually nice man, Freddy is friendly , funny and very helpful in recommeding what to eat. We eat there 7 times in our two week stay and had a GREAT meal there every time. From the Mexican food, FRIED breaded lobster, steamed lobster, breaded shrimp. grilled shrimp, boiled shrimp and steaks everything was cooked to perfection!!!!!! Have a three week trip planned for OCt and Nov of next year and this will again where we eat most of our meals. Try it you will LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best place in Cabo. Hands down. They serve some of the best shrimp I have ever eaten and you must have a BULLDOG. This is a legendary conconction that will have you talking about it for years to come. You will want to start every Cabo night off with a couple Kilos of shrimp and some bulldogs.

We really enjoyed this quint eating establishment. We loved the shrimp and lobster and intend to order the fried lobster on our upcoming trip. It was quiet and very good.

This place is perfect if you love shrimp and lobster. The rice and veggies are yummy and the portions are BIG. The place is clean, the people are nice, the service is quick, the prices are unbelieveably low. Leave a big tip, they deserve it and with their low prices you can certainly afford to! We eat here numerous times on each trip to Cabo. This little restaurant scores huge! And don't forget to try the Bulldogs - great drink, no skimping here either!

If your not a foodie or eat at Applebee types (prefabricated food)than this is the place for you. It was lame on bland. your choice is bland shimp with rice and veggies with different wording. Cabo is full of so many other great choices in the same area; choose one.

We've been to Cabo 7 times and have walked by this place more than that. I never would have even gone in, it's nothing to look at! Boy was I wrong. They have 2 items on the menu, shrimp and lobster. I had the combo shrimp and lobster. The best shrimp and the best lobster in Cabo. 6 HUGE shrimp and 4 small tail halves. I really can't say enough except that it's my loss I didn't go here sooner. Thanks John Hinkle for the recommendation. Beware of the Bulldog!

We had the most wonderful eating experience here. The staff is so friendly and the BULLDOGS are simply amazing. They tasted like lemonade even though they were loaded with happy juice. The lobster and shrimp were perfectly prepared. The restaurant speaks for itself. No hype unlike the Shrimp Factory. Eat here, it's simply perfect.
