Mama's Royal Cafe
This brightly lit cafe offers breakfast and lunch, served all day long. The clientele is a mixed blend of locals and visitors who seem to gravitate towards the omelets, salads and sandwiches, which cost no more than USD6. Many club-goers stop by after-hours for an early morning breakfast, so during this time of day it can be a bit noisy. For later meals, stop back by and eat at Felix's in this same location.
One of my favorite stops for years has been Mama's. Until this year. Seems a bit shabby and negected - the seat cushions and tablecloths are worn and stained, and the once luxuriant plants are dead or dying. What has happened? Change of management? Hard times? Sad to see it like this.
French toast stuffed with cream cheese, topped with strawberries and bananas in an orange liqueur sprinkled with pecans and powdered sugar... it's the perfect, treat-yourself-I'm-on-vacation, forget-the-diet breakfast... I love this place, it's relaxed, casual, great kid-friendly place with indoor and outdoor seating. They have YUMMY mimosas, and great sweet and not-sweet crepes, pretty much any Mexican or American breakfast is available so all tastes will be satisfied. Their JELLY and SALSAS are made in house and the Mexican guitar music gives the place a perfect, authentic atmosphere. oh, and the eggs benedict...... terrific restaurant experience. Don't miss this place... say hi to Felix, the owner, he's there at night, when the place becomes a dinner place...also excellent.
I don't go to Cabo without eating here at least one morning...sometimes more. The food is wonderful, the coffee and juice is so great and so fresh, and the service is awesome. The stuffed french toast is to die for, and I've never ordered anything I didn't love. I would definitely recommend this place!!
The food was great. We go for breakfast and the stuffed french toast is just great. The fresh squeezed orange juice and service very good as well. Well for the visit. Don't be fooled by the outside appearance. I would highly recomend.
Love the food. Best breakfast in town.
Make sure you go to Felix's for dinner. (Same restaurant, Mama's in the morning and for dinner it turns into Felix's).
They have a salsa bar with over 30 different options. Great place for a quiet dinner. Prices are very reasonable.
