La Trattoria, Cabo San Lucas

FOOD WAS A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. MARINARA TASTED LIKE SUGAR AND I HAD 4 RAVIOLIES. 2 OF US HAD TWO COCKTAILS AND BILL WAS $85 U/S.

i had the worst meal of my life at la trattoria this evening the fish tasted stale and frozen and everyone in my 6 person party was greatly disappointed all reviews that are positive regarding this restaurant must be being published by the restaurant itself yikes! everything was also very pricey

it's a very good central location, and good service too, but if we are talking about real italian food and not turistic italian food, this is not the place to go, just browse on the internet for better places

This restaurant is amazing. The food is delicious, the drinks are tasty, and the staff is the best in Cabo. Prices are reasonable, too. The new street-front bar is a great place for people watching. Try the Havana Lights drink -- it's like a vacation in a glass! The owner, Juan, is making some improvements to the restaurant, but they're definitely open for business and cooking up Cabo's tastiest dishes. I can't say enough wonderful things about La Trattoria.

What is there not to like about eating here? The food is excellent, the woodfired pizza being a favorite of mine; the service is great; the ambiance is wonderful; and the amount of food you get, not to mention the quality, for the price is outstanding. I would and do recommend a visit to La Trattoria for anyone visiting Cabo San Lucas who enjoys a delightful italian meal.

I had been in the restaurant business in NYC working at one of the premier Italian restaurants in mid town for over twenty five years. How delightful to find a restaurant in Cabo San Lucas of the same caliber. Not only was the food delicious and fresh but the people watching in the outdoor cafe was the best, as the restaurant is located directly across from Squid Roe. If you also just want to duck off of the marina for a great alfresco lunch this is the spot to go. I had a terrific wood burning pizza and my friends all shared some pasta. I wholeheartedly can recommend this restaurant.

I had heard from a friend back home that this was "The Place" for Italian food in Cabo. The food, service, location, value and ambience is great! To start off with the food: delicious wood fired pizza, homemade pasta, and great seafood and steaks too. I recommend the Pasta Combo for $12 U.S. dollars (lasagna, cannelloni and fettuccine alfredo). Friendly and attentive staff. Even the owners are here to greet us everyday. As for prices: most dishes are under 10 U.S. dollars. If you have ever been here to Cabo and compared other restaurants, La Trattoria prices are hard to beat. La Trattoria is now serving breakfast, too. Excellent breakfast special for $4.50 dollars. They also offer free internet service and phone calls to the U.S.A. and Canada; not the U.K., though. I am actually sitting here outside in the terrace with my wireless laptop typing away while having a pizza and a Corona beer. One of the best things about La Trattoria is the location. In the heart of downtown: a few steps from the Marina and accross from Squid Roe. At night its the best place to meet with friends, have a drink, an appettizers or a full course meal. We like to meet here then head out on a night on the town. They are open from 8 AM to 12 Midnight. Two weeks on holiday have gone fast!
