Mango Deck, Cabo San Lucas

They like to charge you for items you didn't order!!! Better yet! Pay cash, don't run up a tab, pay the server each round they bring you. Place has gotten expensive over the years.

Our waiter was very fast and friendly, and the food was decent (ordered nachos to the beach). But their business practices at this place are sketchy. They overcharged my credit card by several hundred pesos. Only when I grabbed our waiter, pulled out my phone, did the math with the calculator in front of him, and added up every single item we had ordered did he agree there was a problem. He gave me 300 pesos in cash to cover the disparity. However, when I checked my online statement later the place had gone back and recharged my card somehow, outing me 40 more dollars not including the pesos I had received in cash. Very sketchy place in that regard, and I wish I had read these negative reviews about dealing with these same problems beforehand. Maybe if your group is a bit older than mid 20's I would recommend going as they might think you are more experienced and not try to scam you, but if you are in the college or graduate school crowd be very careful, they will target you for stuff like this because they think you don't know any better. Overall, this place isn't really at all worth the trouble or the risk. Also, def. not a place for anyone under 18 for reasons I'm sure you can guess. Bikini contests are fun but certainly not appropriate for anyone under 18. Also, the contests do get boring after seeing them the first time. The MC got one girl so drunk by forcing her to chug shots of a bottle that she passed out due to the alcohol, never knew what happened to her, but all I know is she was passed out on a couch by the door when we left at 6 PM and the staff were panicking.

Went to mango deck to watch the giants game and have a few drinks with some friends my boyfriend and I met in cabo. Food and drinks were ok. During our meal my sunglasses "magically" disappeared from our table. We asked our waitor Hector and he offered no assistance. We were then directed to Erick the manager on duty and he accused us of taking the sunglasses ourselves. Going as far as asking my boyfriend and I to empty our bags to show we didn't have them. I asked if maybe they were taken into the back with dirty dishes. He took us back into the kitchen and gave us gloves, pointed at the garbage and told us to "go dig". The whole time we were trying to talk to him he was looking past us at the TV's and at other people. He accused the people we were had lunch of taking them and to go back to the hotel and ask them. He said to call him and let him know. After checking with them and no one had them - I called Mango deck, after many many tries, I finally got thru and spoke to Erick. He said he would be in touch that night and I never heard back from him. Safe to say - Mango deck was the worst experience of my vacation. Never been treated with such disrespect in my life.

Food is good. Great location. Used my M/C here and immediately after fraudulent charges appeared on my statement. Got a call from fraud protection when I got home. $200 charged after my lunch(same week) at El Pescadore restaurant in Cabo...never been there. Also some small electronics store charges. Have fun, enjoy the vibe...PAY CASH!

We ate at the Mango Deck our first night in Cabo. The beer was cold and iced and from that point the rest of the dinner was uneventful.. I would not return for dip and salsa which was poor much less a dinner.. Hope it is better your you

We went to this place in spring 2009 and loved it, but spring 2010 it was horrible! A fight broke out between a customer and a waiter and we had to move so we wouldn't get hit, and the waiters did not even apologize for the danger! Besides that, the only good thing were the balloons and tequila train, which they both stole from Squid Roe. Overall, all we experienced was customers arguing with waiters, bad food, and watered down drinks.

This was the worst place I've ever been to. They promised us separate checks at the very beginning which is why we stayed. However after our meal, they took 45 minutes to bring the check and we had to ask multiple times. When we finally did get our check, it was all on one bill and the man who gave it to us refused to give us separate bills. We finally went to the manager who made the waiter give us separate bills but then refused to take travelers checks (we went last year and used them). The waiter was adding the separate bills by hand and calculated them wrong 4 different times. One of the bills went on a credit card and he overcharged the credit card by 100 pesos. We were then furious and made them recalculate the bill and they ended up undercharging us by 20 pesos which was the ONLY positive thing about the whole experience. If you like watered down drinks and being overcharged, Mango Deck is the place for you. Otherwise, spend a little extra at The Office, it's worth it.

Food is fine, but the atmosphere ,service and location rock! Say Hi to Ramon, the most sophisticated waiter you will find in Cabo. I hit it for breakfast one day, lunch and the dance contests another and for a good dinner on the beach before I return home

Besides padding the bill with alcohol we didn't order (not everyone is an 18-year old who can't hold their alcohol on spring break) they also attempted to rip us off after renting jet ski's from them on the beach. They accused us of "damaging" one of their jet ski's despite the fact the damage was clearly very old and no one in my party recognized the jet ski as the one they rode. They tried to charge us $400, then it went down to $200, then "whatever cash we had on us." We told them police and they were kind enough to tell them to give us our credit card back. Took almost an hour to resolve and ruined our day in Cabo. The police said they do this sort of thing all the time to tourists. I have heard other horror stories from friends who said the same thing happened to them. Renters beware.

The food was excellent,no matter what you picked. I especially loved the chile rellenos. The place was always rockin' and the atmosphere was great and the hostesses were all nice- especially Martha, cute as a button and great legs.
