El Pescador, Cabo San Lucas

This is our first time to Cabo and I wanted fresh seafood. If I had not read the review before we went I would not have gone to the restaurant. It has the plastic chairs and tables as all the local places have and I would have been concerned about hygiene. But when we arrived there were two tables of Americans so I felt it was safe. So glad we stayed! The food was excellent. Not fancy but very fresh seafood. We got the lobster and sea bass and the lobster and scallops. The sea bass was by far the best and we will definitely be back for more. Paid $16 USD per combo plate. I find Cabo on the expensive side but we usually go to an all inclusive, Palace Resort, so I can't really compare. Trapper's list looks like a great source for restaurants. thanks for the info!

We would eat here every night. You can see the chef's in the kitchen and you know its authentic when its someone's grandma whippin it up. We got our first round of drinks free, chips with different dips (all amazing), free appetizer, 2 lobster tails, a choice of NY steak, scallops, shrimp, or filet for hardly anything at all - i think it was $15. You would be sketched by the price but the flavor and freshness was unbeaten by the resort and other popular spots. Portions were large and came with rice, beans, vegetables, the WORKS, tortillas - definitely going back!!

Seafood was very fresh and well prepared. Servive excellent and prices extremely reasonable. We ate there twice and were pleased each time. Good mix of locals and tourists.Will definitely come back
