This place is MAGIC
Give yourself a break from beach vendors, pricey dining, restaurants loaded with fellow tourists, and feel yourself just relax for a while. The Lobster is simple, warm and friendly. Don't expect a grand dining experience. This is a "joint" that can be enjoyed any time of day or night. Though it's conspicuously located on busy Hidalgo St., it's a gem and an island in a sea of tourism and spring breakers. These are still our favorite simple fish tacos we've ever had, and the scallops and steak/lobster deals are fantastico. But the fun really comes with the friendly, quiet, and completely unpretentious attitude, and the open air location on Hidalgo. Lunchtime visits here have become a ritual for us, and a trip to cabo isn't complete without a pilgrimage (or 3) to the Lobster. Come for lunch and you'll probably be one of the only tables seated, and feel yourself slow down streetside over a couple margaritas (served in short rocks glasses and expertly mixed), as you choose a seat in the sun or shade. Maybe it's time for a $3 shot of Don Julio reposado (how can ya not). This is a place to escape and really feel like you're on vacation. Think of it as a streetside version of the Corona commercials... feel free to just sit back and tick the clock away. And prepare to not feel ripped off. This place seems very different than the many other great joints in Los Cabos. It just seems special. Viva el Lobster!
