Dinner By the Sea

Kookaburra would definetly be reccomended to anyone. However, do not bring your small children: they will be hard pressed to find something of their taste on the menu. Older children should be fine, my thirteen year old was delighted with the grilled Cornish Rock Hen.
Overall, our experience was excellent. I did find the fish was not quite as fresh as one would hope, but at the beginning of the meal we were informed that the fish was imported. I have no idea why.
Most of the meals were not too painfully priced, with entrees averaging around twenty dollars. After dirnks, dessert, and cofee, our bill came to one hundred and sixty two american dollars. (Three people; two adults and one teenager)However if we'd been budget wise we could have pulled about 100 dollars. Do try the strawberry margaritas, they are superb.
If you are a picky meat eater, ask for the beef to be well done, or it will be undercooked. Do bring your cameras, there is a splendid view of Acapulco Bay. An ocean breeze keeps things airy and not so hot and humid. If you can, come for the sunset, we sipped matrgaritas while watching a bright red sun fall behind the cliffs.
For dessert, try their sorbet, especially the watermelon slice. It even has chocolate seeds. We chose a simple american coffee for after meal refereshment, and shared a Black Forest Cake slice... rather small for two people but delcious. My daughter thuroughly enjoyed the watermelon sorbet as mentioned above, and I certainly was not above sampling it.
We had reservations, but the restaurant was not so crowded as it was April, their "off" season. We were seated directly on the ocean view terrace area.I would aks your hotel or timeshare's front desk if they believe a reservation necassary.
Do check it out if you are willing to spend a bit! Happy dining.
