Bistroquet (Le), Acapulco

this small restaurant in a converted home and garden is outstanding. on a small side street in Costa Azul. Mke a reservation, well worth the trip.

From the time you arrive you are greeted by one of the owners you makes you feel like a regular even if its your first time there. You are seated at one of the outdoor surrounded by plants and trees, subdued lighting and soft music. My favorite table is by the reflection pool. You know immediately this will be a dinning experience to remember. From the time your waiter approaches your table you understand the type of training that goes into the people selected to serve you - the impeccable service I personally receive with every visit. The waiter presents a variety of meal specials prepared especially for that evenings fare for you choice or from the menu of gourmet meal options where you can select appetizer options such as escargot or garlic shrimp (my personal favorite), followed by a soup or salad - they prepare one of the finest lobster bisque I have eaten anywhere in the world, the selection gourmet entrees are outstanding - ask about the beef or chicken Le Bistroquet their own creation. Needless to say the desserts are presented with elegance and taste like heaven all followed by an after dinner liqueur and European or American coffee. I strongly recommend you go there early during your stay because you will want to go again before you leave Acapulco.

Outdoor dining on a patio among a beautiful garden. French-influenced menu is huge and really reasonably priced. Servers stand around a lot but do the job when needed. A nice time.

Have been going to this restaurant now for the past 6 years or so and every visit is delightful. This was our 37th trip to Acapulco and like the other reviewers, this is one of the best restaurants in Acapulco. Little known but they have the best mousse available anywhere, you need to make a special request. Every menu item is excellent. The only down side to this establishment is that the drink sizes leave something to be desired. They should give you a substantial cocktail for the price.

We have been going to Acapulco for over twenty years and found Le Bistroquet just a few years ago - A trip to the restaurant is one of the highlights of each and every trip. My birthday would not be the same without dinner there. The service, food and ambiance is A-1. A table by the pool makes for a very romantic evening. The wait staff is professional and attentive. The food is superb. I almost don't want to let others know about this little secret hidaway for fear it will become too busy for reservations. The gentlemen that run the establishment are fabulous!!! Enjoy!

Service is wonderful, food is terrific happens to be one of my favorites. Cannot wait to return in February 2006. Great place for romantic dinners, not so good for children restaurant is in garden of owner's home, waterfall trees flowers, cannot say enough.
