Just For Laughs Festival
With galas, improv events and television specials, this bilingual comedy marathon draws more than a million fans annually. Alumni include Jerry Seinfeld, Tim Allen, Jim Carrey, Kelsey Grammer, Bob Newhart, Roseanne and Ray Romano. The event takes over Montreal's primary indoor venues, from Theatre St-Denis to Club Soda, Cafe Campus and spills out into the Quartier Latin with a carnival and nightly parades. Outdoor events are free; indoor ticket prices and show times vary.
Disapointing, is the word that comes to mind when I remember my visit to the Just For Laughs Festival, in MTL.
Long lines for cake, and corn on the cob. Very few buskers were seen. The entire festival was in french. The Vjs never spoke to any of us in english. The up and coming buskers lack imagination, energy and charisma!
The gala was interesting and amusing.
There was a huge play area for children. Yet really nothing for adults.
I was hit up by different organizations to support their cause.
We had so much fun at Just for laughs... especially with the tourism package we took we had access to all the VIPs and we got to talk with all the comedians ! (I shook Tim Allen's hand!!!) I definatly recommend it to everybody!!!
