Description
The province's electric utility company offers guided tours of its power stations located in the Montreal region. The place to start is at the corporate headquarters in Montreal, where an information center provides videotapes, brochures and other publications. Staff members on hand offer further information about the sites. The closest station is on Rivière-des-Prairies, between the banks of Montreal and Laval. You can learn about its history and visit the turbine pits and spillway. A bicycle path and fishing are available.
