L'Oratoire Saint Joseph du Mont-Royal
L'oratoire St Joseph du Mont Royal (St. Joseph's Oratory of Mount Royal) is recognized as one of the great spiritual centers of the world and attracts more than two million visitors a year. Many are simply curious, but some pilgrims climb the steps of the Oratory on their knees, hoping that God will answer their prayers. The Oratory's magnificent copper dome, which can be seen for several kilometers around, is second in size only to St. Peter's. Inside, it contains a basilica, the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrement, Brother Andre's tomb and two museums in his honor.

My parent came to US over 25 years, one of they dream it to go to Saint Joseph Oratory but it long drive for us. This summer I will promise take my parent and my family go to visit ........to cure my parent health....
I really loved it. Do not only take the bus tour that only shows you the outside. You must go inside. It was something to see. Especally all the canes left by the people that were healed there. Make sure you not only see the church on the main floor. Take the time to go up to the very top floor to see the church built up there. Also see the small church that was built by Brother Andre.
St Joseph's Oratory is a must see for the faithful. There are a lot of stairs to climb but there are now escalators. People have been rumored to be cured in the Oratory. There's a gift shop where you can get holy oil and water. The oratory is magnificent.
What a place! It is huge! Makes one wonder how it was built so long ago. There wasn't the technology that we have today. Truly a work of God. Worth the visit. You go up these long stairs and up and up to the top and look out over the city. Breathtaking at sunset!
I went to Montreal to visit Trois Rivieres and Notre Dame du Cap which was wonderful. Little did I know about St. Joseph's. It was an overwhelmingly beautiful experience. I am Catholic but have never experienced anything like the examples of faith that were there. The votive chapel is awesome. I didn't want to leave it. It gave one the sense that nothing is impossible.
The Way of the Cross is a scene I could have spent an entire day. It is truly a reflective and prayerful place.
We went to the museum and were blown away by the Nativity Scenes. I love Nativity Scenes and have never seen such beautiful, different, culturally unique ones before.
I only had a half day to spend at St. Joseph's so I know I will have to visit Montreal again and plan to spend more than a day.
Did I forget to mention the view of Montreal!!!!
This is the greatest place in Montreal to get the spirit!!!! Just walkng through this church and seeing all the healing that went on there give you goosebumps. So much to see. Please don't miss this experince.
