This district, now a part of the city of Montreal, was once its own city. It benefited from the construction of monumental Beaux-Arts-style buildings, many of which still exist today. It has recently witnessed a re-birth, thanks in part to the Olympic Park . A walking tour of the district should include the Maisonneuve Market . Other notable buildings include the magnificent public baths on Morgan Avenue and the Denise-Pelletier Theatre .
Homa used to be full of drugs but so was the Plateau 20 years ago. it took 10 years of change for the Plateau to be what it is today. Homa has been changing fore the past 5 some years now and after 3 some years, we stared really seeing big changes! Now, we see cool people on the street, very respected boulangeries, trendy restaurants that kick a lot of mile-end restaurants but, and most of all, the homa people believe in change and they have this special energy that brings them together to build a good solid future in this small part of town!

Hochelaga is one of the coolest place in Montreal,the new Plateau some say, they call it Ho-Ma now,kind of northern So-Ho, you can find emergent artists, good and innovative restaurants, cafe, street art and great pieces of history.. the face of this part of the city is changing for good...
