Whisky Cafe, Montreal

Whiskey cafe is a Montreal experience not to be missed, especially if you appreciate a nice drink and/or a cigar in a classy atmosphere. The drinks selection is excellent and the bartender makes a killer Mojito. The food selection is simple and delicious. The cheeses, sausages, smoked salmon and foie gras are great for snacking on while enjoying a nice drink. Don't expect a full menu or a full meal. This place is more suited to starting off the evening with a nice drink or two and some nibbles before strolling down to one of the many popular St. Laurent restaurants, or dropping by after dinner for a nice whiskey/porto and a cigar. The smoking room is nicely decorated in leather and dark colors and soft lighting. It's a very cozy atmosphere. A great place to spend a couple hours reminiscing with good friends or enjoying the company of a loved one. The music is great, and adds to the atmosphere. It's a nice selection of jazz, ambiance and world music. The service is excellent and the bathrooms are nicely designed. A lot of attention has clearly been put to all the little details at Whiskey Cafe. It is a bit on the expensive side, but is definitely worth indulging in once in a while with good company or just a nice treat to yourself.
