Like most restaurants in Little Italy, this spot appears from the outside to be a simple cafe in a humble brick building. Simple and humble, yes, but the sparsely decorated dining room is home to spectacular traditional cooking. Appetizers offer nothing more innovative than prosciutto with melon and minnestrone soup (CAD5-$7); main courses are lowly pastas, with a choice of four sauces (CAD7-9) and various rotating offerings (CAD10-14); homemade tiramisu is CAD4.50. The devil, of course, is in the details, and in a wine list starting at CAD22.
We were looking for dinner in "Petite Italy". We found the perfect place. This is a neighborhood restaurant, not touristy. Our server was nice, friendly & helpful. The Mussel appetizer was delicious. When we go back to Montreal, we will be going back to Tre Marie.
I find the ambiance to be relaxed yet quite Home like asmosphere and the food is great, reasonnably priced, although the owners not to sociable. But Hey thats ok,were there for the food not them..Too bad..
Our best friends have been going to Tre Marie for the past 15 years and they really appreciate the cuisne. We have been at this restaurant last week for the first time and I can tell you that we do travel around the world and rest assure that a visit to Tre Marie is worthed. The service is excellent the cuisine is very good and the prices are not too expensive. When having some people form the USA or England visiting for pleasure or business rest assure that our first stop will be the Tre Marie.
I love this restaurant..
their veal is marvolous, its not the kind of place you go to if your looking for a lot of choices and a big dessert menu. Its a small place with simple food, which is what I really like in a restaurant.
This church, designed by Quebec architect Victor Bourgeau and built between 1870 and 1894, is an exact one third replica
of St Peter's Basilica in Rome. Set among the bleak skyscrapers of downtown, it makes a particularly striking sight. ...
