With only 11 counter stools, you won't have to look far if meeting a friend at this NDG greasy spoon-cum-institution. The well-known restaurant has been delighting its patrons at the same location for the past 30 years, where it serves typical diner-style breakfasts and lunches. Plunk down less than CAD5 for a breakfast of bacon, eggs, potatoes and coffee. Daily specials, such as hamburger steak with a beverage, cost about CAD7. Don't forget to bring cash along.
A restaurant that just has to be tried at least once.
Like Laura (a woman after my own heart) The mish mash is not for the faint of heart but that is a heck of a breakfast and forget about lunch afterwords so it's a bargain.
P.S. The owners are great people
I love Cosmpos although it is not a place togoe often as you will probably die from a heart attack but it is delicious and I cna't wait to return.Unfortunately they are closed for vacation and no wI don't know what I'll eat
Trust me, there's just no way you can leave this place hungry. In fact, the owner will make sure you consume every last bite before you leave! (Watch out if you're ordering the Mishmash - it is truly enormous, and the man will take your picture if you do manage to stuff it all down.) Come in hungry and leave stuffed, swearing off food for the rest of the day. Cosmos really is an institution. There's even a documentary called 'Man of Grease,' and I've heard rumours that they've never cleaned their grill. While that may break a variety of health codes, it certainly does add flavour. Everything comes with homemade bread, and if you can get a spot outside, go for it.
A recent move to the downtown area has not cramped this classic restaurant's style, thanks to continuity in both service
and decor. Many of the original waiters and stained glass panels have travelled with it. The menu includes a ...
