Food was amazing at Frite Alors! on Parc avenue! Great service from super friendly staff. Ambiance was good with retro music and it was nice to know that we were eating in the very first Frite Alors! restaurant!!
If you like a crispy fry this is the place for you. Be sure to ask for their mayonaise dipping sauce even if you're not sure you'll like it. It has a lovely lemony tang. Delicious. If you're sharing you must get a large.
I've visited a few Frites Alors around the city, and they're the place to find Montral's best burgers and pretty tasty fries. The menu offers lots of variety with at least a dozen sauces and combos. The quality of the potatoes used for the fries and the meat used for the burgers is vastly superior to other chains in the city... don't let other reviewers preferences for inclusive dipping sauces put you off... this place is worth the extra. Two thumbs up, and after writing this I'm tempted to go and get one right now...
Frite Alors! is great if you're looking for typical burgers, fries and beer. For some reason, they have a wide selection of sauces for their fries, but one must pay extra to get any sauce at all. This includes ketchup (or, if you're European, mayo). Personally, I'd rather go to Belle Province and buy a plate of poutine, or get an order of fries that I can drown in as much ketchup as I like, so the point of this restaurant escapes me. Yes, they have a wide variety of beer and fry dipping sauce, but I hate beer and I don't like to pay extra for sauces! Additionally, their selection of sandwiches is puny at best. Overall, this isn't the place to waste your money. Hit the BellePro instead; it's cheaper and more satisfying, and you'll get the authentic Quebec experience, rather than this hoity-toity Belgian nonsense.

A recent move to the downtown area has not cramped this classic restaurant's style, thanks to continuity in both service
and decor. Many of the original waiters and stained glass panels have travelled with it. The menu includes a ...
Perched right in the business district, this bright and airy place attracts a larger crowd for lunch than it does
for dinner. It's too bad, because those in search pf a terrific and inexpensive meal are missing the boat ...
