With a huge menu of Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese specialties, this bare-bones noodle house has quickly become a neighbourhood standby. The most expensive item runs only CAD8 ("Stir fried shrimps or squids with garlic sauce"), while the enormous Tonkinoise soups (noodles, broth, beef or chicken and vegetables) are a boon to the budget-conscious at only CAD5.50. The decor is non-existent and the music is treacly Asian pop, but you'll be in and out so fast that you won't have much time to look around. Cash only.
every time i go to montreal i make sure i visit just noodles at least twice. the food is cheap and tastes amazing. My favourite dishes i order are the seafood chow mein, and the hot and spicy soup. I recommend every one to go you will not regret it!
The food is extremely well priced and you get a lot of it too - I usually had to take some of it home because I couldn't eat it all in one sitting. The service is quick too.
Also, I've eaten Cantonese Chow Mein (my favorite) in a lot of places around Montreal but Just Noodles has the best one.
Service was very fast. Food was right on the dot, better than what you see in Hong Kong. This is especially surprising, since I grew up in China. The prices are fairly cheap. The 3am closing is amazing too. A montreal can't miss.
I don't even bother with anything else on the menu (for almost a decade!), the Chicken Curry Noodles are worth driving downtown all the way from Ville St Laurent! (#60 on the menu) Red curry and coconut milk with chicken and veggies on thin noodles... heavenly.
I've tried many other chinese food places in montreal, this is the one i trust and enjoy the most. The portions are huge, the food is hot and freshly made and the staff is great. Try the chicken fried rice, the general tao and the chicken chow mein
