Pierre du Calvet Restaurant
Located within the Auberge Pierre du Calvet , this turn-of-the-century Victorian dining room exudes refinement and relaxation. Stone walls, beautiful woodwork, antiques, chandeliers and sumptuous silk curtains offset the formal decor. The menu includes classic French cuisine choices, either from the tables d'hôte (CAD30-40) or à la carte. There is a solid selection of wines in the mid to upper price range, and pre or post-dinner cocktails are served in a cozy lounge before a fireplace.
For great food and personalized attention you can't ask for anything better.
The quality of food is A1.
You feel like living in the XVII century. The ambience is great and the place is located near Old-Montreal.
Congratulations to the administration and staff.
This is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere in the world. My husband and I stayed at Maison Pierre du Calvet for our 1st, 2nd, and 4th anniversaries, and the highlight of our trip was always our dinner at Pierre du Calvet. The food was wonderful and unusual (we had caribou and quail among other things). The dining room has a wonderful fireplace and an elegant and intimate feel. The service was superb; we always had the same waiter, he remembered us from one visit to the next, and he took very good care of us. He was knowledgable about the food and the city, and whenever we weren't sure, we followed his recommendations.
