Not for everyone, but the kind of place your dad should have brought you too for a father/kid lunch. It's the kind of place where that tradition should pass down through generations forever.
Have a "special" and a cherry coke (homemade). Can a bologna sandwich be anything but average? I don't know. But as far as bologna/salami sandwiches go, it's great and you'll remember your trip to Montreal as something special.
The ambience is old school and authentic. Nothing nice, but nothing contrived. It took years to make Wilensky's what it is: a genuine institution. Saddle up to the counter, and they'll take care of you.
