Packed with students from nearby McGill University, this legendary greasy spoon serves up hundreds of totally uniform breakfasts all day, every day. CAD5 will get you any number of standard choices, while daily lunch specials run only a little more. The menu holds few if any surprises. The pleasant, pastel-coloured decor, which often features student artwork, is a far cry from the original, five booth hole-in-the-wall that is now just the kitchen. In summer, try the tasteful, breezy patio in back. Only cash is accepted.
It's probably the best breakfast you can find in the so-called ghetto. Yes, students tend to lazy about breakfast, if there's any breakfast at all. Come on, nobody's gonna trek to mile-end and then to class. Maybe you should stay in your fav. hangouts. Place Milton seems to be doing good business without you.
the only reason people go here is because it's in the mcgill student ghetto. the type of mcgill student that lives in the ghetto is often lazy and too closed minded to explore the rest of the city. the breakfast is ok, but the quality has gone down, the portions decreased, and the prices raised. it's just not worth it unless you're hung over and live down the street.
between 11-2 there is usually a line-up, and this is a place that's definetly not worth waiting for. i never understand why people wait in that line. i guess it's better than them finding out about the better breakfast places making it impossible for the people who love those places to go to.
