One of few dessert-oriented restaurants in the area, this bright, airy cafe hosts a boisterous crowd all day and night. Pies are the order of the day, and you can wash them down with a beer, a glass of wine or a cocktail if that is your thing. Top notch coffee means a thriving after-dinner crowd. Lunch options include pizzas, sandwiches and other options. The terrace is a wonderful place to waste a summer evening. Other locations are at 5390 Queen Mary Road, near Earnscliffe (+1 514 481 0092), and 3361 des Sources Blvd, near Brunswick (+1 514 683 7187).
beware of the two chicks working at the cash register on Saturday nights (and maybe other nights, but I can confirm they're almost always there on Saturdays). They are arrogant, they don't greet or thank the customers when receiving tips or payments. They also like to 'confirm' with you that you've left a tip with a tone that maybe your mother would use on you when she's royally pissed off. I'm always there having a great night then these two have to ruin the end of it with their blatant lack of respect. I've been tolerant until now, next time it'll be a talk with the boss.
Other than that, it's a good place with good desserts, usually good service (by the full time wait staff), and nice atmosphere. Recommended. (just not on Saturday nights)
