Ye Olde Orchard Pub, Montreal

We went on a Wednesday evening and were completely let down. The place wasn't busy, to be expected, it was a Wednesday night but it took our waitress a while to greet us. We sat in the front by the window ( best seat), when she finally did greet us she was sour and looked miserable. Not a great impression for us. The food was ok at best, for an Irish pub the food wasn't Irish, there are curries and butter chicken on the menu.. Not exactly what we expected. Everything is pricy for this pub. If you're looking for an okay menu with not so ok service Ye Olde Orchard Monkland is where you'll find it!     pub by the big window (best seat) but our waItress was so sour and not welcoming at all. This was our first impression. Then we looked at the menu, it is a mini novel. Way too much choic no to mention there wasn't much of a selection of Irish food, there were curries on the menu?

We ate here the first time out of convenience because it was 1 block from our hotel and we didn't want anything fancy, just food. We got friendly service and good food in a pleasant atmosphere. We liked it enough to back a second time!

I go to pubs..I like pubs...the old Orchard Downtown is far from an Irish pub...another wannabe ! however the staff were nice, the food was average, drink / beer was good... Nice try.... JMP
