This bring-your-own-wine gem, nestled in a cultural corner of the Plateau Mont-Royal, might be small but the food, service and charming Parisian bistro motif more than make up for the size. Bistro L'Entrepont serves some of the best and most reasonably priced French cuisine in the city. The clientele is a true slice of Montreal society, ranging from locals who enjoy good food to those who have travelled halfway across the city - or further. The waitstaff is chummy and efficient, the ambience warm and romantic.
Small and well hidden, this is one of the best kept secrets in Montreal for reasonably-priced French bistro-type dining. Bring a bottle or two of good wine, relax and let your taste buds enjoy the trip.
The place is tiny, a bit cramped, a bit noisy but the food is excellent and the service is friendly and efficient.
Seatings are only on Fri and Sat I think, other evenings are not. Reserve. Well worth it.
This small restaurant in the middle of the Plateau is incredible. Some of the best French cuisine in Montreal without the bill for 2 people beyond $100 or more. Their 5 course meal is excellent and well-priced.. Service was absolutely splendid.. we had a chilean-quebecois. the nicest man!
A must in Montreal for anyone qui veut en profiter!!! If you speak NO french, good luck! but still don't miss out!
What can I say? If you are in montreal make this a choice. If you don't mind cramped space, bring your own wine (everyone does), and 2 seatings, this is a must. Food, amazing! Staff/Chef super friendly. If you don't speak a word of french, be patient, as eng is not so easy for them either. It was fun though. BTW you must call ahead, I suggest 2-3 days, but if you are lucky 3 hours if they are not busy. Because it only fits like 30 ppl. I think they do 2 sittings every night. Oh and be prepared that the whole menu is in french. If you are clueless, just talk to the staff and they can help. They have lamb, steak, bison, and my fav sweet-breads. Other reviews back exactly my experience.
