Holocaust Education Centre
Located on the fourth floor of the Lipa Green Building in Toronto's north end, the Holocaust Education Centre is dedicated to the memory of the six million Jews who were murdered by the Nazis before and during the World War. Through audio-visual presentations, exhibits, an on-site resource library and actually meeting Holocaust survivors, visitors can learn about the horrors that European Jews underwent as well as the strength and resilience they showed under the direst circumstances.
I went here with my school for a field trip. When you walk in, you see these big bronze doors with Hebrew inscriptions. When you enter through those doors, you see a very narrow hallway, which represents the trains that Jews were put on during the Holocaust. Inside that small hallway are pictures showing Jewish life before World War II. There is a theatre room with artefacts and posters. There is a small room with white plaques showing some names of the victims who perished in the Holocaust. Very enjoyable experience. If I get the chance to visit again, I totally would!! :D
