CN Tower

Description

At 553.3 meters, this is one of the world's tallest buildings. Since its spectacular opening in 1976, the CN Tower has hosted close to two million visitors a year. One of the most exciting ways to see the world is from the exterior, glass-floored observation deck, located 342 meters above the ground. Or you can go up to the Space Deck at 447 meters, the world's tallest observation deck with a 160-kilometer view. The revolving 360 Restaurant and Horizons Bar complete the dizzying picture.

A majestic view
By Lefty, 9/24/08
The CN Tower was one of the highlights of my trip. The view of the city was absolutely awesome. The glass floor was a bit scary at first, but was so cool! A definite recommendation for anyone.

CN Tower
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/19/08
Make sure it is a clear day!! I thought the CN tower was nice. The Glass floor is really neat! Lay face-down just to say you did it! Great photo opportunity! Open air area is nice, but you can not take photos because of the chicken wire-like fence. We had dinner at the Horizons cafe, You could just get a dessert or glass of wine and sit for a while, it would be relaxing. **Check out the 360* restaurant, You get moved to the front of every line and I believe your ticket is free, you just pay too much for dinner!** (We did not do this because we have 2 kids!) We did not pay extra for the sky pod. I think if you are in Toronto it is a must-do. Although, I would be upset if the lines were long and it was crowded at the top. If you have your tickets ahead of time, you save one line. I just got mine from the hotel. Citi-pass is another idea.

Good for tourists
By Slava, 4/17/08
A great place for first time visitors, but after you've been there once there's no need to go back. The glass floor is neat, and the views are great if it's not too smoggy.

Gorgeous!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/17/08
I was at the CN tower about a year ago and it was simply amazing!! You almost have to lay down in order to see all the way to the top. I was extremely nervous as I rode the elevator up to the restaurant (they are glass and I am afraid of heights), but it was SOOO worth it. The view is absolutely dynamite and I would love to go back again. If you get a chance eat at the restaurant and stop at the observation deck on the way to the top!

Great view of the city
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/16/08
There are some interesting tours about the tower and how it was built. Best of all is the view. Once you get to the top, there's a glass floor from which you can see the whole city. It's a great view!

Uber Cool
By Keegroup, 1/7/08
Forget everything else to do in Toronto. The CN Tower rises above every other tourist attraction. The staff are so well informed and talk about being genuinely nice! My grandmother (who is afraid of elevators by the way) was actually carried to the top of the stairs by 2 employees who took turns. An hour later, she had arrived with such a very nice smile that we almost cried. The boys would not take a tip and my grandmother still tals of it to this day, as we do. What a wonderful time we had! The only bad thing was that there could have been a little more grease on the pole. My grandmother is still somewhat a little uncomfortable with her thigh burns from sliding down all the way to the ground. But fresh garden tomatoes are as soothing on the skin as in the stomach and she hasnt complained once. Thank you everyone, especially Carlos and Charlie! Hans Innispants
