Tranzac (Australia New Zealand Club)
Description
The TRANZAC (an abbreviation of Toronto Australia New Zealand Club) was started more than 70 years ago in The Annex, by a group of Australians and New Zealanders looking to inject a bit of their countries' flavor in Toronto. A non-profit member supported community, this bar is open to all to experience Kiwi-Aussie culture and at the same time enjoy the various arts. The interiors have memorabilia from the homelands all over. With a focus on promoting arts, music and theater, TRANZAC aims to promote and support the Australian and New Zealand culture in Toronto. Limited pub food is offered, although kitchen hours and food availability varies. The taps are kept stocked with plentiful brew. The club facilities can also be rented.
