Plaza Flamingo, Toronto

I went here with some friends to go out dancing. Since we arrived late, we bought some empanadas from the late night buffet before going onto the dance floor. The empanadas, although cheap, were probably the greasiest I have ever had. In addition, when I went up to the bar in the restaurant area (this was not at all crowded, unlike the bar in the club area) and asked for some tap water the bartender flat out refused. Not only had a bought food, but I had payed $12 for cover. I insisted, but he continued to refused and said that I could buy bottled water for $2. I have never been denied free tap water, except in some cases where they charge for the cup. While the dance floor was okay and decently lively on a Saturday night, I would go somewhere else that doesn't charge such a steep cover for awful service.

The Flamenco show was really good a the food fantastic no complains so far..the ceviche was really good

I decided to visit Plaza Flamingo for the first time to celebrate my birthday. THE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE WAS AWEFUL!!! THERE ARE SO MANY HIDDEN FEES. My small group of 10 was greeted by a miserable waitress who made everything difficult for us. For one she insisted that everything had to be on 1 bill even though I told her that 2 of my guest had to leave early. She said there was no other way she could do it. So not only did we have A REALLY COMPLICATED bill to figure out but then there were all the Hidden fees. For one, i was CHARGED for HOT WATER!!! In a restaurant isn’t water suppose to be complementary. Secondly, there’s an $5 extra charge for meat in a quesadilla (by the way you have to assemble the quesadilla yourself. 3rd According to them the MENU needs to be UPDATED so a lot of PRICES on MY BILL VARIED from the PRICES on the MENU. Then there is some ridiculous bar tax so the drink prices really aren’t what they seem. Furthermore we had to ask several times to get a glass of water. Although I must admit the food was GREAT, the Entertainment was FUN and the club was OK, I would NEVER GO THERE EVER AGAIN and I would NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE!!!

first of all, the service was beyond horrible, we waited over one hour to order our food and another hour until the appetizer arrived and again one hour for the main dish to come. The waitress was just rude with no manners, i asked for water 8 times and ended going to the bar myself to get water, when i asked the bartender she replied" its at the end of the bar get it yourself." the food was tasted horrible but on top of that it was cold. Overall this restaurant should be shut down. Never again will i step foot into this "restaurant"

The people that work there are very rude. Not enough space to dance or people just dont know how to dance and keep bumping and hitting others dancing near them. Didnt even bother drink in the bar its too full.

dancers don't dance well,the guitarist is great,the ambience is just so poorly decorated or just so plain,upstairs the smoke in very unnecessary, They should tell people before letting them in that there is no more available seats or it is already crowded that you have no place for the drinks anymore. We came 11 of us girls and we think overall it is just underdelivered for an overpriced venue.

The place is not really an authentic Spanish restaurant but rather a Latin American one. My wife and I think this is an overprice place (we paid $150 dollars for dinner & a show), especially when you consider that the show lasted around 1 hour and the food wasn't that exquisite.
