Sintra Fine Dining, Toronto

Seating was uncomfortable. Menu limited and items not available. There was no cheese platter since they were out of Portuguese cheese! Piri Piri Chicken which is a staple on portuguese menus was greasy and not well prepared, we were told it was the special. I had the rabbit - there were no "migas" but it did taste good and of course was not greasy. Chocolate mousse appeared to be out of a package and not authentic. We had high expectations from previous reviews and can only conclude the place must have changed ownership or the chef was on his day off.

We were out on Friday and decided to try something new. I came across this little restaurant called Sintra. I must say that the food was amazing. Not often do I find a restaurant that I can say this about. It was our first time trying Portuguese food, and the flavour was great portions were good too! I think wwe found our new weekend meeting place. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a romantic/cozy back drop to enjoy home cooked food presented like a NY CITY top 5 Restaurant.
