Via Allegro Ristorante, Etobicoke

I've dined at Via Allegro several times, for business and pleasure, and am never dissapointed. The food is amazing, and they offer a great selection. Everyone is always satisfied. Excellent wine selection.

I've had better service at a fast food resturant then I did there. It took 1/2 hour to get a drink and no-one seemed to know what was in the food for people who have food allergies. For the price of the food I rather be eating at Mortons, North 44, etc. This resturant didn't compare to the upper scale resturants in food quality and service.....but they sure charge the same.($45.00 for a steak that doesn't even compare to "The Keg"). The menu and wine list were overwelming....sometimes simplicity is the best way..... We were there in a large party and no-one will be going back soon. It was not worth the drive to the Queenway from the subburbs......

Nice atmosphere, a couples place. Very tastey food, if you want to bring a date to amuze. Been there a couple times, service was acceptional. Recently - Very busy restaurant, service may not meet the expectations to your moneys worth. Overall, great place.

Have definitely spread the word that Allegro is a great place to dine. The staff are extremely courteous and friendly. My compliments to Joe Rodriguez for making the best pizza ever. I love to sit at the bar and watch the food presentation which is amazing and to feel the warmth of the stone pizza oven. This is a very classy restaurant and we love going there.

The food was average and service needs improvement.

The food is excellent in this restaurant. I would and will return but not for the service or price. This is a once in a year type of restaurant to visit.

Service: ... poor ... the waiter (Craig) was very confused about a simple order for two people ... when one course arrived, it was tabled so clumsily tabled that most of it ended up on the table ... not on the plate ...

Food: ... average ...

Price: ... excessive for the service and taste ...

This is based on one visit on Saturday 02 October 2004, but we won't be returning ...
