James Street Feed Company, Ottawa

This is a working class sports bar with a minimum invested in decor, but a lot of attention is paid to providing good service and decent pub or tavern fare. The place is often full of regulars who are noisy but friendly. The chips -- fries if you're American -- are some of the best in Ottawa, and you can request them cooked to your personal preference (unfortunately they've taken to preparing the poutine with mozzarella rather than with cheese curd). It is not well designed for anyone in a wheelchair or with a walker. NTN players tend to like it.
