Junk & Foibles, Halifax

I would like to pick up all the sea glass!! I would like to shoppe in the surrounding areas for cultural decor as well as oramentive sundries

I love the employees, they are very friendly and helpful, very down to earth. I like the clothing and accessories, they're like nothing I have ever seen before. It's an awesome place to spend your hard earned dollars! There is something for everyone and the fashion is unique and intruiging as well. I always have a good experience when I go there.

I know I can always count on Junk and Foibles to have that vintage dress I've been dreaming of. Last month I needed a very specific item, I thought I'd have to rent a car to hunt through all the vintage stores in Nova Scotia to find it. Then I remembered Junk and Foibles, I stoped there first and to my suprise they had the exact dress I was envisioning. Thanks ladies! The store has the best selection of unique vintage peices that would take sooooo long to track down otherwise, and they aren't anymore expensive than value village. I love that I don't have to leave Halifax to find exactly what I'm looking for.

Junk and Foibles is my all time favourite vintage store. Everything is well organized and in pristine condition. A lovely experience!Wonderful! I have found many eccentric pieces, plus things I can work with to create a dramatic flare...i.e., my prom dress!

This is a great place to find that one of a kind, diamond in the rough, unique thing to set you and your style apart from everyone else. not to mention just about anything you purchase in this place is going to be a conversation piece that just won't quit. However I have to say that upon a recent visit I was slightly taken aback by some of the goings on. First of all not everthing had a price on it, causing all of my inquiries to a employee (who was more enthuised to steam garments while ignoring my presence, than give me a hand) to become a full blown conference, with the mgr on duty as to what each product was worth. Call me crazy but I do like to know that I'm going to pay the same price that the girl who comes in 10 min. from now is going to be expected to pay as well. Upon finding a fantastic item, barely being able to contain my excitment, I inquired (to the mgr. on duty/price setter) where their product comes from and how often they receive stock. She not so invitingly responeded "well you see everyone who works here has their particualr thing, mine happens to be the item youve got there so I would normally set that aside for myself so that it wouldn't even make it to the sales floor. But seeing as i don't currently have a house, i've no where to put it, so i didn't buy it, thats why you were ably to snap it up." leaving me feeling like had she not personally been so interested in my item the price probably would have been lower. As well the friend who came along for the visit, found another fantastic item, again played the price game, and had to listen to a speech about how it wasn't a stylish item and looked as though it belonged in the 80s, only to go to a higher end store later and find the exact same item in a differnt colour!! for 10 times the price

I absolutely love this store. It was the best store I've ever been to. I could have stayed in it all day, but then my sister just had to go to the book store. Anyway, the prices are really really good for such great vintage stuff! Plus they had a sweet pair of Buddy Holly type glasses. I so would have bought them, had I not have spent all my money on other things previous to entering that store. Next time I go to Halifax, I am definitely going there again and spending all my money. Definitely. And no one can stop me, this time.
