Wreck Beach, Vancouver

i hate how so many nued people are there with children and their children are nude i am never going there in my life i hate it!!!!!

If only I could live at Wreck Beach 24/7 I would! Great atmosphere, great people, great views. I go there regularly with my family and we have a blast every time (until it is time to walk up those stairs). The best time to go is when the waves are coming in, nothing like playing naked in the waves!

My family is lucky to have Wreck as our regular beach. We've been regulars there for over a decade. My wife & I have been to nude beaches in California, Hawaii, & St. Marteen, and there is NOTHING like Wreck. The beach is self policing, so if any gawkers or idiots with cameras show up, they are warmly invited to join the crowd and put away the camera. Body acceptance is the way, and we feel that our son has a healthy attitude towards not only his nudity, and others. Come check it out, it will free your mind and body from the day's constraints.

Loveeeeeed this beach. This was my first Vancouver Beach experience, and I totally enjoyed it. Everything you could possibly want is offered to you the beach by the friendly vendors, beach blankets, cold beer, water, popsicles, hot dogs, fruit, even wreck beach T Shirts for purchase!! The sunset is absolutely amazing as well... post card perfect. Nudity is optional. (it feels great) All the people I have met there, have the most laid back friendly personalities that helped make my experience there memorable. Thanks so much wreck beach, I will become a regular!

An extremely beautiful bay and lovely wide beach however, Beware the Wreck Beach Taleban! Most people are great there but there are one or two people who feel that they 'own' the beach and try and tell you what you can and cannot do! Not very nice really. No-one owns the beach, full stop!!! Don't know who they think they are!

I liked going to Wreck Beach because I saw pretty naked women! (point blank) I feel i must say this in all honesty otherwise you may miss the point of the beach being there. It doesn't have a very good swimming environment because the tide is a little wild and the water seems (at-least 2 me) a little bit mirky or muddy. The sun shines brilliantly there though and the wind isn't bad. The hike in/out is good for the young but not the old. NUDITY is allowed there by the local police so whatever, it's between you and God if you want to check it out...

After having visited Wreck beach 3 years in a row, it's safe to say that this is the most comfortable, glorious place to just be yourself and enjoy not only the feeling of being naked, but also the beautiful scenery and the Vancouver hospitality. The experience is not the least bit sexual- and you'll know that as soon as you take the plunge and relax. No one is judging you, no one is gawking- everyone is there for their own peace of mind and enjoyment. There is a great sense of community and acceptance down on the beach that would be nice if it were felt more places. Looking forward to my next visit already! Dave- Ontario

I love this beach. The way everything is set up allows you to either join a community of people or have privacy in your own little section. The vendors kick butt and where else in Vancouver can you be naked and comfortable. The hike back up sucks after a hot day in the sun but it's totally worth it.

The best beach in the city. Believe me, I know. I live in Vancouver, and beaches are my favourite place in the world. This one is "clothing-optional," so whether you feel comfortable baring it all or not, no one will be judging. That pretty much sums up the atmosphere at Wreck, everyone's friendly and enjoying the beach and the sunshine. Great hotdogs, too (get out of the gutter). Occasional fire performances after dark. And last but not least, the one singular thing that makes a trip to Vancouver worth every penny; that gorgeous, fantastic, mesmerizing Wreck beach sunset.

been going there every year since i was a child. safe fun great food vendors, surfing, music, beautiful. fun journey to/from!!!! excellent place to see when your in town.
