Bon Ton Pastry and Confectionary, Vancouver

I have been eating Bon Ton Pastries for 48 years. When I lived in Seattle, it was a hop across the border to get my fix. I now live in San Diego, and recently visited Seattle to visit family. We took a road trip to Vancouver, where I prceeded to order 6 dozen Canadian Cheese and 6 dozen Chocolate Progress. I managed to make it back to San Diego, with only a couple of dozen broken. These I shared with marginal friends, while I shared the remainder with family and friends of higher stature. They are as fantastic today as they were when I was a child. I highly reccomend the yule logs and marzipan treat as well, and their hot chocolate will leave you in a delicious coma of richness shock! Yum Yum!

As children my grandmother would give my brother and I one of their famous" Diplomat cakes",every birthday.When we moved,to Van. Island,she would ship them to us,on the bus.They are beyond description,in mere words.A delicacy that simply has to be tried,to believe!
