ABC Book and Comic Emporium, Vancouver

I make monthly pilgrimmages to the Shrine! Dead serious, the staff are all passionate about books and knowledgeable. Oh and they will look for, set aside etc books for regulars. The owner keeps a list of books I’m willing to pay for (in some out of print fantasy cases whatever the going rate on alibris or abebooks) and if they get traded in (haha he says NOBODY in Vancouver trades in their used books, that’s why he goes shopping in used bookstores in Los Angeles a few times a month) they’ll get set aside for me. Barring that, he has a list of books to check for on his book buying tours in LA. I LOVE this store and they have the best customer service, best selection, best EVERYTHING (but then I also have a fuzzy black cat of my own so what’s a few more cat hairs) on the planet. A bibliophiles dream. I have also discovered some great authors just by walking down the aisle and browsing the length of it. Some of them get traded back in if I know I won't want to reread them. Most of them get amalgamated into my personal library.

Love this bookstore... it may be the best one in all of Vancouver. Staff are always helpful and kind. Store cats are lovely to pet. Books are more than plentiful.
