Description

The Rusty Gull Neighborhood Pub is just a short SeaBus ride from downtown . The relatively small bar is decorated with paraphernalia from the shipyards of North Vancouver. It has a view of downtown from its deck. For such a small pub, it has a surprisingly large menu. A large assortment of sandwiches are available, and the shrimp and salmon variety is highly recommended. Portions are generous while prices are reasonable. Drinks specials are offered daily and a wide range of beers is on tap.

The music is great, when they have it. The waitresses are a little slow, but friendly. The problem I had was that imported pint of beer were just shy of $8. I've never been anywhere, apart from the airport, where a beer cost more than $6.75. $8 for a single beer is ludicrous.

BobCats and beer/food--great!!

The live music with the group the BobCats was incredible. They played at a very listenable volume level and they are all very polished singers and musicians.We saw them on one of their regular Wednesday night appearances and I think the Gull should be very proud and thankful to be able to have them entertain their patrons. The food and service were also great and I'll be coming back for the music and service very soon

Good Crowd, Good Guinness

We stopped by this pub on our way back from skiing to meet a friend from North Van. We had already been skiing for a few days and going out but we had the best time at the Rusty Gull. The people there were very friendly. We didn't have a lot of the food but the Cajun Soup was excellent. I understand that the bartender won the competition for pouring the best glass of Guinness in all of North Van so there you go. How could it be bad with attention to detail like that.
