Hon's on Robson
Although it has traded its original location for a more modern site, people still come to Chinatown and line up for this restaurant's lunch menu. The Keefer Street site remains the favourite. Noodles are the house specialty. Whether you top them with chicken, dumplings, shrimp or oyster sauce, it is the noodles that keep the front door swinging. If you want to try something on the menu other than noodles, order the Crispy Wonton. There is also a selection of vegetarian dishes. Other location at 1339 Robson Street.
In response to the review below me where the staff came back to ask for a tip when you didn't leave one. I agree that is completely wrong however Hon's hasn't been paying its employees for months. The owner Gala Ip is a cheap, horrible woman who mismanaged the business completely and thinks it's perfectly fine NOT to pay staff who have been loyal to her for years. They aren't bankrupt tho.... still owner multiple properties, etc - just won't pay her staff.
So if you eat there again don't pay your bill, just give cash to the staff - they need it, Gala Ip does not.
Do you believer waitress come back to ask you for TIPS after I signed the credit card and did not put anything for TIPS, they really trained to do this ? Just feel mad about this because TIPS is personal stuff and is up to any individual to pay or not pay the tips at all, this is very very bad for this restaurant !!! keep in mind about this
It happened in the night of Nov-5 around 7 30 pm
Their food is very good, and pretty quick. This place is not for fine dining but it is where all the local people go for a good meal. There are multiple kitchens by cooking type- on the side of the dining area. This was a fun experience.
We went there several times on our last trip there, and plan to make it a regular stop on each trip to Vancouver.
